Maker of Head Trip Shuts Doors; Industry Moves Toward All-Natural Blends

Last week we learned that the maker of Head Trip has ceased manufacturing herbal incense of any kind. While the company’s other activities, separate from herbal incense, continue, soon you will no longer be able to find authentic Head Trip. We have no doubt that imitators will continue producing knock-off Head Trip, but they do so at their own risk.

News around the Web indicates that the herbal incense industry is being pursued by the Department of Homeland Security. Stories from as early as last fall tell us that Homeland Security has become more and more involved in various investigations involving commerce and immigration. Their investigations have included a sting on seven IHOP restaurants in Ohio, a Baltimore raid on flea market sellers who were offering counterfeit goods for sale, and raids on various smoke shops and herbal incense distributors.

In some ways, Homeland Security’s involvement is troubling, considering that this agency was created in the wake of 9/11 and has more expansive powers than other law enforcement agencies, due to the civil-rights-eroding Patriot Act.

It may be easy to vilify Homeland Security, but it is important to remember that the intention behind this activity is to protect people. Law enforcement typically believes that their actions result in benefit to citizens, so it is wise to refrain from making judgments about these agencies. Nevertheless, this is America, and the First Amendment still stands. I will try and stay off my “Secret Police” peach crate and will avoid mentioning that the underwear bomb plot lately supposedly foiled by the CIA was in fact not even real…

Moving on, we feel that the industry’s move toward natural products is the silver lining to this cloud. Here at Herbalaxation, we have been offering all-natural products for a while. Our first all-natural product was Devil’s Lettuce, which is legal in all 50 states, as it is completely all-natural. Next we offered Blayze Aloha, a very popular all-natural. White Rabbit 7g was next, and then last week, we debuted “The Natural”, a product touted by its manufacturers to be the best all-natural out there. You decide.

  1. If they allow alcohol to be sold, whats the difference? U cant control a human beings decision makin skills, what he/she does after they buy a product shouldn’t ruin it for everyone in the U.S. Wht happened to land of the free? Not so free when u have illegal immigrants living tax free, etc. And americans cant get a job cause of illegal immigrants. Dont punish other people from idiots who cant act normal. That simple.
